Moving On

Do you ever feel like things are going too well and something bad is bound to happen soon? The amount of times I’ve had to tell myself over the past few that good things are happening because I deserve it is ridiculous. Over the past few years I’ve been to hell and back in my personal life and the fact that I’m here now with things looking up is testament to the strength that I never knew I had. When I used to work a job that I hated with every inch of my being I would have done anything to find something to get me out of there but every job I looked at wanted skills that I didn’t have and could see no way of getting any time soon.

After the worst few years of my life, everything seemed to fall into place at exactly the right time. I was finally ready to pick myself up and start moving and living again. My Grandad gifted me some money that enabled me to buy my laptop and several things for my photography. I found The School of Photography and now I’m here. I’m shooting another fire performance class for the Burlesque group on Sunday. I’ve booked a Nerf event for a children’s active club next weekend and I’m in talks with the owner of a local gym who is a professional bodybuilder to shoot her for my monthly assignment for which the theme is power. I’ve still got a lot of work and learning to do before I’m anything near professional but things are definitely going in the right direction and it feels amazing (and a little bit scary!)

Moving on . . . one day at a time leaves the regrets behind to experience the joys ahead.

When we find our passion, the universe begins to align with us. The more you believe in yourself, the stronger the connection becomes. My daughter describes it as “beligerently believing in yourself.” Keep believing.

I guess it depends on how we frame the phrase “going well” and whether we believe in ourselves even when things are “not going well” 🙂
